It is an economical way to get into paddle boarding and to determine whether you want to pursue the sport with a more expensive SUP.
SUP Accessories
As might be expected, the SUP accessories for Roc inflatable SUPs are also moderate in quality. The paddles work well enough but are not as durable as those for some of the pricier boards. In fact, if you find you like your Roc SUP, you might want to replace the paddle with one of slightly higher quality. The waterproof pouch is functionally waterproof, but small. There are not as many tie-downs as are available on some of the more expensive boards. One of the big detractors appears to be the quality of the handpump and the airport on the SUP itself.
With all that said, the Roc SUP is a low-cost, enjoyable alternative for the casual user who might not want to invest heavily in a board that is likely to be used once or twice a year. It is an affordable, entry level investment in a rapidly growing sport.
